Black children have significantly higher rates of shellfish and fish allergies than white children, confirming that race plays an important role in how children are affected by food allergies, researchers at Rush University Medical Center have found.
The 2009 National Youth Tobacco Survey released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides further evidence that the United States has made dramatic progress in reducing youth smoking, but the rate of decline has slowed significantly in recent years.
Seattle Genetics, Inc. today reported that it has been notified by Genentech, a wholly owned member of the Roche Group, that Genentech has elected to terminate the companies' collaboration agreement for dacetuzumab (SGN-40). Dacetuzumab is a monoclonal antibody targeting CD40 that has been investigated in clinical trials for non-Hodgkin lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
People with newly-developed rheumatoid arthritis or undifferentiated arthritis may be able to achieve remission, with continued drug therapy, after four months of treatment with methotrexate and prednisone, according to research presented this week at the American College of Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting in Atlanta.
