Two behavioral health facilities located in Los Angeles County have been named Top Performers for hospital-based inpatient psychiatric care by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in America. Aurora Charter Oak Hospital, located in Covina, and Aurora Las Encinas Hospital, located in Pasadena, each received recognition for their performance on key quality measures achieved during 2012.
A new study published in the June 18 issue of The Journal of Neuroscience adds to a body of evidence suggesting stress may accelerate cognitive decline later in life.
