Precision Therapeutics will proudly continue its dedicated support to the NOCC Pittsburgh Chapter's 13th Annual Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer. Precision has been a strong supporter of the NOCC 5 Mile Run/5 Mile & 1 Mile walk for over five years, and once again expects a great number of its employees will join together in full force to walk alongside ovarian cancer patients and survivors to help strengthen the partnerships it has forged by supporting the very cancer patients that it strives to help.
A new model showing how sickle cell blood cells operate within bone marrow is presented at a conference in Austria today. Researchers at Imperial College London, who developed the model, hope that it will eventually be used by clinicians to advance more effective treatments for sickle cell disease.
The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses will present the ICU Design Citation to the Lefkofsky Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago during the 2013 National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition, Boston, May 18-23.
Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. has received FDA clearance on its new Vantage Titan 1.5T series, which features the 8-, 16- and 32-channel MR systems.
Emory University Rollins School of Public Health researchers will present Nov. 11 on a range of topics at the American Public Health Association's annual meeting in Philadelphia, including a study that found reduced absenteeism among employees participating in a large-scale worksite wellness program.
