Society for Women's Health Research President and CEO Phyllis Greenberger, M.S.W., issued the following statement in response to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study released yesterday, which found that one in four females aged 14-19 has a sexually transmitted disease:
BioLife Solutions, Inc., a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of proprietary clinical grade hypothermic storage and cryopreservation freeze media for cells and tissues, and contract aseptic media manufacturer, and HemaCare Corporation, a leading supplier of blood derived cells and components for research and clinical applications, today announced a strategic relationship wherein HemaCare will market BioLife's HypoThermosol and CryoStor biopreservation media products and HemaCare's blood derived cells to the research and clinical communities.
Dr. Candice Macri, a Pittsburgh-area optometrist, has won Davis Vision's "Order Online to Win" promotion. On Wednesday, Jan. 20, Davis Vision representatives will visit Dr. Macri's office in New Castle, Pa. to present her prize, a trip to Miami for the Big Game on Sunday, Feb. 7.
It has been widely reported in the media that mild traumatic brain injury/concussion can cause prolonged physical and cognitive symptoms, and potentially permanent brain damage in some individuals.
A study carried out at the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, showed that men whose cancer had not spread beyond the breast were almost six times more likely to be given radiotherapy than were women with the equivalent stage of disease.
