The Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation today announced its largest research commitment ever - $4 million in collaborative grants - most from its new Accelerator Grants program to study neuroendocrine tumors, a widely misunderstood, commonly misdiagnosed cancer type, without adequately identified genomic drivers.
Muscle Flex Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MFLI) (www.MuscleFlexInc.com) and Sterling Worldwide Entertainment, LLC (www.SterlingWWE.com), a subsidiary of Visual Industries, Inc., jointly announced today that their television show "Sugar Free," which is currently in pre-production, has received significant expressions of interest from global television program distributors and have engaged the interested media conglomerates in discussions regarding the show.
Canadian researchers writing in The Journal of Pain reported that fibromyalgia patients participating in online acceptance and commitment therapy and treatment as usual showed significant improvement in primary disease outcomes, such as depression, pain, sleep and pain acceptance, compared with TAU alone.
Substantial progress has been made over the last 15 years in the healthcare community's ability to diagnose and treat epilepsy and its complications. Yet this progress in epilepsy management has not reached most of the 50 million people around the world, including many of the nearly three million people in the United States who have the disorder.
A team of engineers at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), Schlumberger-Doll Research Center in Cambridge, Mass., and the University of Texas, Austin, have created a truly portable device for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
