Stand Up To Cancer, a groundbreaking movement that has raised more than $100 million for accelerated cancer research, today unveiled a 115-square foot display window in 10 Rockefeller Plaza, created to generate tune-in for the upcoming Stand Up To Cancer television event, set to air live for one hour, commercial-free in primetime on September 10, 2010, at 8p.m. EDT & PDT / 7 p.m. CDT.
Pharmasset, Inc. announced today that the enrollment of Cohort 2, led by its partner Roche, will continue for the remaining 300 genotype 1 and 4 patients in the ongoing phase 2b trial of RG7128, a first-in-class nucleoside analog polymerase inhibitor for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
Research findings suggest combining the Mood Disorder Questionnaire and Bipolar Spectrum Diagnostic Scale provides better diagnostic screening than using each in isolation.
CartiHeal (2009), Ltd, a privately held medical device company, focused on developing and bringing to market a proprietary, off-the-shelf, and cell-free cartilage regeneration technology, announced that it raised $5 million in venture funding from two US-Israeli venture capital firms, Accelmed and Access Medical Ventures. The financing will be used to prepare its first product launch early 2013 in Europe.
The researchers, Professor Michael Eysenck and Dr Nazanin Derkshan, designed several experiments to explore the effects of anxiety on our ability to perform tasks such as avoiding distractions on a computer screen, when reading a story, or solving a series of simple mathematics problems.
