Researchers at UT Southwestern Medical Center have identified a signaling pathway in the brain that's sufficient to induce cellular leptin resistance, a problem that decreases the body's ability to "hear" that it is full and should stop eating.
Now, a new study describes how compounds that restore the normal transcriptional conditions following infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) can be used to reduce viral load without neutralizing the virus entry into the host cell.
Dako, a Danish-based world leader in tissue-based cancer diagnostics, and Omnyx, a leader in digital pathology solutions, announced today that they have entered into a three-year agreement to develop clinical algorithms for digital pathology. The aim is to support pathologists in generating even more accurate, objective and reproducible diagnostic results.
High Desert residents suffering from hard-to-heal wounds now have greater resources to help heal their wounds and get their lives back. St. Mary Medical Center, a 190-bed acute care hospital in the High Desert of Southern California, announced today the opening of its Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine.
