Medical professionals, business and government officials from around the world joined in Amsterdam on the sidelines of the ECCMID 2016 Conference, hosted by the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases to declare their commitment to fight antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in a concerted effort.
As part of a German-French research project, a team led by Dr. Christa E. Müller from the University of Bonn and Dr. David Blum from the University of Lille was able to demonstrate for the first time that caffeine has a positive effect on tau deposits in Alzheimer's disease.
Reverse Medical Corporation today announced FDA clearance for US commercialization of their MVP-5 Micro Vascular Plug system for peripheral vessel embolization, and the first US clinical case. The MVP-5 system is indicated for use to obstruct or reduce the rate of blood flow in the peripheral vasculature, in vessels measuring between 3.0 and 5.0 mm.
