Tomsk Polytechnic University, JSC Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems and the Polyus Research and Development Center will create the betatron based medical complexes, reducing the chance of cancer recurrence.
New data published in the August issue of SLEEP shows that patients with primary Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) and with periodic leg movements during sleep (PLMS), have fewer awakenings resulting from involuntary kicks when treated with GlaxoSmithKline's Requip (ropinirole HCl).
The work follows a study carried out by Oregon Health and Science University, which suggested a link between a gene mutation in mice and tolerance to alcohol. Researchers at Liverpool have investigated this in worms, looking specifically at the role the gene plays in communication between cells in the nervous system.
Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and Mozambique have joined the New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition, which, launched earlier this year by the G8, is aimed at boosting food security and addressing malnutrition in Africa, VOA News reports.
