The integrated department of diagnostic services at Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton announced today that it is launching a city-wide, integrated Radiology and Nuclear Medicine peer review pilot project.

Clinical trial results published in the New England Journal of Medicine this week offer additional evidence that a new device may help relieve chronic heartburn symptoms that standard treatment cannot. The Keck Medical Center of USC was one of 14 U.S. and European medical centers to test the device prior to its March 2012 approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Two state attorneys general will face off at the National Press Club on the constitutionality of the health overhaul. In other news, a Mississippi district court judge has agreed to hear a different legal challenge to the measure.
