Scientists have identified where a four-stranded version of DNA exists within the genome of human cells, and suggest that it may hold a key to developing new, targeted therapies for cancer.
A new study finds that after weight loss surgery, people whose breath has high concentrations of both hydrogen and methane gases have a lower percentage weight loss than other bariatric surgery patients do. The study results will be presented Thursday at the Endocrine Society's 97th annual meeting in San Diego.
Today's summit on the future of health care in this country, while far from resolving all of the differences between Republicans and Democrats on reforming our broken health insurance system, was a huge win for the American people.
French researchers have found that drinking only a small glass of sugary drink per day could lead to a whopping 18 percent increase in the risk of cancer and a 22 percent increase in breast cancers. The team published their study titled, "Sugary drink consumption and risk of cancer: results from NutriNet-Santé prospective cohort," was published in the latest issue of the British Medical Journal.
More than 50 million people in the United States suffer from pain in the absence of injury. This includes patients with migraines, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome and many other disorders.
