A cup of tea a day can keep dementia away, and this is especially so for those who are genetically predisposed to the debilitating disease, according to a recent study led by Assistant Professor Feng Lei from the Department of Psychological Medicine at National University of Singapore's Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Orexin receptor antagonism may offer a novel treatment approach to insomnia, clinical findings suggest.
About 16,000 women on active duty in the U.S. military give birth each year. Most return to service after 6 weeks and can be deployed after 4 months. The potential for an increased risk of depression among new mothers who deploy and are exposed to combat experience is presented in a study published in Journal of Women's Health, a peer-reviewed publication from Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., publishers.
There is good evidence that polluted air increases the risk of respiratory problems such as asthma - as well as organ inflammation, worsening of diabetes and other life-threatening conditions.
