A new study has examined whether managing weight during pregnancy might affect children's bone mass.
Women must be equally represented in heart disease research to ensure that treatment recommendations meet their specific health needs, according to a report published today in European Heart Journal, a journal of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
A notable prevalence of childhood abuse - physical, sexual, verbal, or emotional - in migraine patients has been observed and documented over the last few years. Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced results from a Phase 2b trial evaluating Nexavar® (sorafenib) tablets in patients with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer previously treated with a bevacizumab-containing regimen, which showed that Nexavar was associated with statistically significant improvements in progression-free survival and time-to-progression.
People with diabetes not only have a higher incidence of coronary heart disease events compared with people without diabetes, but they differ in the type of risk factors they have for such events, report US researchers.
