The removal of Tysabri from the market soon after its introduction is expected to increase scrutiny of other similar drugs in development for multiple sclerosis (MS), says ECRI, a leading, independent health services research agency.
The Government is rapidly running out of excuses for not acting to implement a ban on smoking in public places. Despite widespread public support for smokefree policies in the UK the Government is still undecided on the issue.
Older women appear to quit smoking and stay off cigarettes in higher numbers than men in their age group, and older men and women are more likely to quit if they have recently received a diagnosis of cancer, according to researchers at Duke University Medical Center.
Palatin Technologies, Inc., announced today that it has received $978,000 in grants under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA), with $847,000 available immediately and $131,000 available no later than 30 days after Palatin's fiscal year ending June 30, 2011.
