Neurotrope, Inc. today announced that the first patients have been dosed in the Company's Phase 2b clinical trial of its lead candidate, Bryostatin-1, for the treatment of advanced Alzheimer's disease.
A neutral-pressure IV needleless connector was associated with complete elimination of catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSI) in a successful device trial at a large cancer center in the six-month period following implementation of the device.
In 2012, approximately 6.6 million children worldwide - 18 000 children per day - died before reaching their fifth birthday, according to a new report released today by UNICEF, WHO, the World Bank Group and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs/Population Division. This is roughly half the number of under-fives who died in 1990, when more than 12 million children died.
Percutaneous aortic valve replacement is becoming a reality and brings new hope for a number of patients who cannot currently be treated with traditional surgical techniques.
