Many risk factors for breast cancer are well studied and documented. Thus, scientists are sure by now that early first menstrual period, late onset of menopause and a family history of breast cancer are associated with an increased breast cancer risk.
The Optical Research Group of the Universitat Jaume I has developed an optical nanoparticle sensor capable of detecting very low glucose concentrations, such as those present in a person's tear, by means of fluorescent carbon quantum dots, applying synthesis of nanomaterials based on irradiation with ultra-short lasers, which is an alternative, sustainable and non-polluting method.
Albumedix Ltd. (‘Albumedix'), an enabler of advanced therapies and the world leader in recombinant human albumin (rAlb), announced today that they have entered into a collaboration agreement with Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult (CGT Catapult) to investigate the use of Albumedix´ proprietary albumin-based solutions for advanced therapy applications, including viral vectors manufacturing.
