In an effort to ensure that student health plays a central role in California's education reform agenda, the state's largest private health foundation today unveiled the first report produced from a multi-year project addressing the connection between student health and academic achievement.
The vascular surgeons at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston have traditionally repaired thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms (TAA) with a clamp and sew (CS) technique that includes neuro-protective adjuncts like epidural cooling and aggressive intercostal reconstruction (IC) to prevent spinal cord ischemia.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in partnership with the Sierra Leone College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences and the Sierra Leone Ministry of Health and Sanitation, is now enrolling and vaccinating volunteers for the Sierra Leone Trial to Introduce a Vaccine against Ebola (STRIVE).
Nearly two-thirds of solid tumors carry at least one mutation that may be targeted, or medicated, by an existing compound, according to new findings from researchers Fox Chase Cancer Center that will be presented at the 49th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology on June 3.
