More than 90 percent of people caring for a family member with dementia experience poor sleep, according to new research by the University at Buffalo School of Nursing.
Roche and the US-based biopharmaceutical company Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that they have entered into a major alliance in which Roche obtains a non-exclusive license to Alnylam's technology platform for developing RNAi (RNA interference) therapeutics.
While stem-cell therapy offers great promise for the treatment of stroke, much research remains to be done to show its long-term effectiveness and to understand the potential for dangerous side effects.
Oxford Finance LLC, a specialty finance firm that provides senior debt to life sciences and healthcare services companies, today announced the closing of a $31.6 million debt financing expansion with Proteus Digital Health. The financing package, which was provided to Proteus Digital Health from both Oxford and Silicon Valley Bank, included a senior secured term loan and a revolving line of credit. Proceeds of the loan will be used for working capital growth.
