Researchers might be able to treat a troublesome cough in disease without disrupting the protective cough we need for optimal lung health, by targeting the different brain circuits involved. That's according to new research published this week in The Journal of Physiology.
Providing computed tomography colonography (CTC) otherwise known as virtual colonoscopy as an alternative to conventional colonoscopy could improve colorectal cancer (CRC) screening rates, according to a study in the November issue of the American Journal of Roentgenology
Research conducted at the Stony Brook University Institute for Chemical Biology & Drug Discovery that enhances the time a drug remains bound to its target, or residence time, may prove to be an important step in developing better diagnostic and therapeutic agents based partly on longer drug residence time.
Entitled attitudes appear to be linked to sexism-even among women, according to a personality study by psychologists from Case Western Reserve University and San Diego State University.
A potent combination of powerful new analysis methods and abundant data from genomics projects is carrying microbiology forward into a new era.
