The findings indicate that the link may be driven, at least in part, by feeling a lack of control over one's life.
Chairman Edolphus (Ed) Towns (D-10th-New York), a long-time AbilityOne Champion, has earned the "Spirit of Independence Award," in recognition of his lifetime commitment to advance economic and personal independence for people who are blind. National Industries for the Blind's President and CEO Kevin Lynch presented the prestigious award to Chairman Towns at a ceremony on Capitol Hill on July 30, 2010.
Congressman John Culberson, R-Texas, today announced that his office will post the current healthcare bill in the House of Representatives, "H.R.3200 - America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009," on the congressman's Web site and, using a new technology, invite his constituents to participate in, comment on and debate the pending bill.
Each year, more than three million American workers are diagnosed with cancer, leading to high productivity losses that mainly affect smaller companies, reports a study in the December Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, official publication of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM).
