Scientists at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies have identified a gene that regulates sleep and wake rhythms.
A recent study from Belize and Taiwan shows that four essential proteins of SARS-CoV-2 are well adapted to habitable temperatures and exhibit extreme thermostability, which means temperature changes between the winter and summer months have a negligible effect on the viral spread.
A cohort study found that antibodies to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and neutralizing antibodies remain relatively stable 8-11 months post-infection.
Cytomedix, Inc., a leading developer of biologically active regenerative therapies for wound care, inflammation and angiogenesis, today announced that positive results from a prospective study evaluating the AutoloGelâ„¢ System to treat advanced, chronic wounds was published in the June 2010 issue of Ostomy Wound Management in a peer reviewed article entitled, "Chronic Wounds Treated With a Physiologically Relevant Concentration of Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) Gel: A Prospective Case Series."
A matched cohort study by William W. Hung, M.D., M.P.H., of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, and colleagues examined the use of the Mobile Acute Care of the Elderly service compared with general medical service (usual care).
