Pregnant women have a higher incidence of insufficient amniotic fluid levels (oligohydramnios) in the summer months due to dehydration, according to a study conducted by researchers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU).
Sanofi pasteur, the vaccines division of sanofi-aventis Group, has announced data showing that its new investigational H5N1 pandemic influenza vaccine containing a proprietary adjuvant achieved a high immune response at the lowest dose of H5N1 antigen reported to date.
The proposal calls for melding a range of safety net programs - from food stamps to housing vouchers - into a single grant offered to states, which would come with strict accountability standards. The proposal, which does not include Medicaid, is part of a GOP effort to rethink how conservatives approach antipoverty programs.
