A new study strengthens growing evidence that Mycoplasma genitalium (MG) is a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The findings are recently published in the International Journal of Epidemiology.
Researchers of the Cancer Virotherapy Research Group of Bellvitge Biomedicine Research Institute, led by Dr. Ramon Alemany, have developed an oncolytic virus capable of redirecting the patient's immune system against their tumor cells.
Clinical trials at University of Colorado Cancer Center and elsewhere now result in the drug ivosidenib earning approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia with a susceptible isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 mutation.
