Results of two new studies support the use of the intravenous formulation of the antiepileptic drug (AED) Vimpat® for patients requiring add-on therapy in clinical settings where oral AED therapy is temporarily not feasible.
TherapeuticsMD, Inc., a women's healthcare company and parent company of vitaMedMD, announced today the launch of vitaMedMD's newest prescription prenatal multivitamin, vitaPearl, adding to its successful prenatal line consisting of vitaMedMD One Rx, vitaMedMD Plus Rx, and vitaMedMD RediChew™ Rx.
Identifying the genetic malfunction that causes these disorders raises the hope that researchers may be able to devise a targeted therapy, just as they have done for chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), which is presently treated with Gleevec. The three leukemias that share a common genetic cause are polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET) and myeloid metaplasia with myelofibrosis (MMM).
Stryker's Spine division will showcase its expanding line of Tritanium cages, including the new Tritanium® TL Curved Posterior Lumbar Cage, a 3D-printed interbody fusion cage intended for use as an aid in lumbar fixation, at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) Annual Scientific Meeting, April 28-May 2, 2018, in New Orleans (booth No. 413).
