Shareholders attending British American Tobacco's AGM in London on Thursday (28th April) will be asked whether they can trust the company, following the publication of a new report highlighting how the world's second largest tobacco company hides the damage it causes to health, development and the environment behind a mask of "corporate social responsibility".
NPS is urging people taking statins to continue to take their medicine as prescribed and to see their doctor if they are unsure about the benefit of the medicine for them.
In an alarming new finding from the recent Australian Child Health Poll it has been seen that nearly one third of preschoolers and two thirds of primary school aged children are owners of smart phones. If not owners, one in two kids are using these smart phones unsupervised, the poll finds.
Arizona failed to properly document efforts to enroll children in its Medicaid program for years and overcharged the federal government nearly $12 million, auditors found in a report expected to be released today. In addition to recommending that Arizona repay the federal government $11.7 million, the report by the inspector general for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services suggests the review of an additional $18.8 million as questionable billing.
A new study in the Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy suggests that providing more information about how doctors prescribe drugs could reduce problems associated with overprescription.
