A mold count of more than 50,000 has triggered an alert for dangerous air quality throughout the Midwest . The Midwest experienced a record-breaking winter for snow, and is again setting new records for heat and rain.
It is difficult to make colon cancer screening effective, according to a follow-up study conducted by the Swedish medical university Karolinska Institutet of a screening programme from 1999. Many of the people who would probably have benefited most from the survey opted not to take part.
Aeras, a nonprofit biotech advancing TB vaccines for the world, the University of Oxford and Okairos, a biopharmaceutical company specializing in T-cell vaccines, today announced a $2.9 million grant to Aeras in support of a collaboration among the three parties to support the development of vaccines against tuberculosis, HIV and malaria.
The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital – Washington University Pediatric Cancer Genome Project (PCGP) has identified critical driver genes that account for disease-related alterations in a range of uncommon low-grade neuroepithelial tumors.
Experts from government, academia, industry, non-profit organizations put forward recommendations that provide a roadmap for an integrated, multidisciplinary research agenda necessary to inform priorities for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
