Adults with developmental disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome are having a harder time accessing health care even though they have more health issues than people without developmental disabilities, according to research done at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
RBC Life Sciences, Inc., a provider of proprietary nutritional supplements, wound care and pain management products, today reported company-wide net sales of $7.0 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2010, compared to net sales of $6.0 million for the same period during 2009, an increase of 16%.
It's rare for scientists to get what they describe as "clean" results without spending a lot of time repeating the same experiment over and over again. But when researchers saw the mice they were working with doubling their weight within a month or two, they knew they were on to something.
Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute and collaborating institutions have described the first-ever immature or "teenage" antibody found in a powerful class of immune molecules effective against HIV.
The Washington Health Alliance released today a new report revealing disparities in how health care is delivered across race, ethnicity and language. Findings reveal that disparities in care are a continuing problem in Washington state. The report, the third of its kind that the Alliance has released, relies upon Medicaid data covering more than 680,000 enrollees.
