Environmental health advocates responded to today's announcement that Food and Drug Administration concurs with the National Toxicology Program's assessment that bisphenol A is a chemical of concern. FDA posted tips for parents to minimize children's exposure, and announced further research. BPA is a synthetic sex hormone linked to cancer, behavioral changes, reproductive harm, heart problems and other illnesses.
The team headed by Dr. Kathrin Suttner, who, together with Prof. Dr. Carsten Schmidt-Weber, heads the airway immunology research group at the Helmholtz Zentrum München and Technische Universität München, concentrated its work on the so-called naive CD4+ T cells.
A team of researchers from the Epidemiology Department, Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Indonesia, Depok, Indonesia, has found no correlations between adult male and female smoking prevalence with COVID-19 mortality across countries. In lower-middle-income countries, however, there is a link between adult male smoking prevalence with COVID-19-related death.
