The current study from Israel discusses the change in antibody response with the trimester of infection and the infecting variant.
The association between obesity and gastrointestinal-related cancers and coronary artery disease; the link between an overweight or obese body mass index and the severity of Crohn's disease; and whether inflammatory bowel disease is an independent risk factor for coronary artery disease, were among the highlights of new research that was presented this week at the American College of Gastroenterology's (ACG) 75th Annual Scientific meeting in San Antonio.
MUSC Hollings Cancer Center researchers are finding solutions to the aging-related changes that reduce anti-cancer immunity. Besim Ogretmen, Ph.D., and colleagues found a novel link between aging, metabolism and anti-cancer T-cell function. Their work, published in Cell Reports, sheds light on an important pathway that cannot be ignored during cancer treatment.
Immunomedics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing monoclonal antibodies to treat cancer and other serious diseases, today announced that TF12, in combination with radiolabeled peptides, produced specific, fast, high-contrast imaging and pretargeted radioimmunotherapy of epithelial cancers that include cancers of the prostate and the ovary.
China Kanghui Holdings, a leading domestic developer, manufacturer and marketer of orthopedic implants in China, today announced that the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, TGM Medical, Inc., has received approvals from the Food and Drug Administration of the United States for its Helicon Hip System ("HHS"), Milestone Knee System ("MKS") and related surgical instruments.
