Drawing on its analysis of the historic Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. has established a multidisciplinary task force to help clients identify and evaluate key opportunities created by health care reform.
A multidisciplinary team from the Universitat Politècnica de València, Universitat de València, Universitat Jaume I, University General Hospital from Valencia and the Biomedical Research Network Centre on Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition (CIBERobn) is developing a study on the effectiveness of active video games in children and teenagers (know as "exergaming platforms") for exercising and improving their health and fitness.
The contact areas between nerve cells are called synapses. What happens there lies at the heart of communication between nerve cells. Communication starts with the release of chemical messengers known as neurotransmitters at these synapses.
"The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network applauds President Obama for his new Precision Medicine Initiative, and for making an important investment to advance cancer research and arm the scientific and medical community with the cutting edge tools and resources needed to fight cancer.
