A new study by researchers at the University of Cincinnati shows that urban adolescents with asthma may experience worse outcomes when not using spiritual coping and often use complementary and alternative medicine, or integrative medicine, like prayer or relaxation, to manage symptoms.
Gilead Sciences, Inc. today announced receipt of a Paragraph IV Certification Notice Letter advising that Lupin Limited submitted an Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requesting permission to manufacture and market a generic version of Ranexa® (ranolazine extended-release tablets).
Liver fluke infection is a major public health problem affecting more than 10 million people in Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand and Laos. Infection has been strongly linked to cholangiocarcinoma, or bile duct cancer, an uncommon but aggressive form of cancer.
Medidata Solutions has further expanded its Partner Program by naming EXTEDO, provider of regulatory information management software and service solutions, a Medidata Technology Partner. EXTEDO created an integration that utilizes Medidata Rave Safety Gateway to transfer critical safety data from Medidata Rave, a leading system for electronic data capture, clinical data management and reporting, into its PcVmanager drug safety management solution.
One third of the world population is infected with the parasite -Toxoplasma- which causes a common eye infection called ocular toxoplasmosis. Researchers have shed new light on how an infection with the parasite causes a distinctive lesion in the retina.
