A nonsurgical treatment option for rectal cancer that preserves quality of life is safe for carefully selected patients, according to a new study comparing it with the standard operation.
The Ontario Association of Medical Laboratories is pleased to announce its 2010 Small Grants Program to support non-proprietary research projects to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of the delivery of laboratory services. Previously funded projects have included research into new testing methodologies, information systems and improvements to operational systems.
Anthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company developing drugs to treat serious diseases associated with inflammation, today announced positive interim biomarker data from the PEARL-SC phase 2b clinical study in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.
Almost everything that happens inside a cell, including autophagy, is tightly regulated on a biochemical level. Pfizer Inc. and Eli Lilly and Company today announced that a 16-week Phase 3 study in patients with osteoarthritis pain evaluating subcutaneous administration of tanezumab, an investigational humanized monoclonal antibody, met all three co-primary endpoints.
