Formlabs, the designer and manufacturer of powerful and accessible 3D printing systems, has released a user story with Dr Sam Pashneh-Tala, Research Fellow at the University of Sheffield, who is leading pioneering tissue engineering techniques for creating complex artificial blood vessels with patient-specific shapes, powered by Formlabs SLA 3D printers.
Colorectal cancer, commonly called colon cancer, is the third most common cancer and the third leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Research, published today, by the American Cancer Society shows that the incidence of colorectal cancer among adults aged 50 years or more has fallen by 30% in the US over the last 10 years. This is thought to be primarily due to the widespread uptake of colonoscopy screening, which has almost tripled among adults aged 50 to 75 years (19% in 2000; 55% in 2010).
Researchers at SUNY Downstate Medical Center's School of Public Health have determined that two stressful work characteristics, low job control and "job strain" - that is, high-demand, low-control work - have been increasing in the U.S. since 2002.
Ansell Limited, a global leader in protection solutions, today announces that it has reached an agreement to acquire BarrierSafe Solutions International ("BarrierSafe"), a leading North American provider of single-use gloves, for a total consideration of approximately US$615 million, subject to certain adjustments (the "Acquisition"), from Odyssey Investment Partners and others.
