Clive Pai believes people can be trained not to fall. The professor of physical therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago will use a five-year, $1 million grant from the National Institute on Aging to develop a computerized treadmill program that could be used in physical therapy offices to prevent falls and fall-related injuries in older adults.
A paper published in the June issue of Obstetrics & Gynecology demonstrated that adding OVA1 to a physician's preoperative assessment of a woman's ovarian mass would identify more ovarian cancers than a physician's preoperative assessment alone.
