The American Civil Liberties Union has sued a genetics company that holds patents on breast- and ovarian-cancer-causing genes, saying their claims on the two genes hinders further research by other companies and scientists, the Associated Press/CBS News reports.
Competitive Technologies, Inc. announced today that it will hold a conference for the medical community on May 17, 2010, in Boston, Mass. at the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., to introduce CTT's CalmareĀ® pain therapy to the medical community. Professor Giuseppe Marineo, MD, DSc., Researcher, Founding President of Delta Research and Development, Tor Vergata University of Rome, is the Italian inventor of the "Scrambler Therapy," the technology used in the Calmare medical device.
Researchers found that neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 can increase over time. They observed that samples taken from convalescent plasma in September 2020 would likely have high enough values by July 2021 to protect immunodeficient patients who receive intravenous immunoglobulins as part of their treatment.
"African leaders have reaffirmed their commitment to efforts to eliminate malaria, after they were informed that unprecedented success in scaling up malaria control interventions resulted in one-third reduction of malaria deaths in African in the last decade," PANA/Afriquejet reports.
Cancer risk was just one of the fears linked to the implants. Regulators have already called for them to be monitored closely following reports of high failure rates. Tiny metal ions made up of cobalt and chromium are thought to break off from the implants and leak into the blood, with fears that this leads to muscle and bone damage, and neurological issues.
