A vast majority of the nearly 2,000 doctors surveyed agreed that physicians should be fully open and honest in all their communications with patients. ... EASE - Endovascular Atherectomy Safety and Effectiveness - is an FDA-approved Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) clinical trial that will enroll 90 patients at up to 20 clinical sites.
The buildup of fat in the blood makes a bad situation worse - it not only raises a person's risk for heart attack or stroke but also impairs the growth of new blood vessels. How excess fat in the blood - a condition known as hyperlipidemia - blocks vessel growth was unclear, but new work by researchers at Temple University School of Medicine shows that a molecule known as caspase-1 plays a central role and that preventing its activity could be the key to building new blood vessels and restoring blood supply to oxygen-starved tissues.
Teleflex Incorporated, a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery, has announced the addition of VasoNova Vascular Positioning System to its existing Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters agreement with Amerinet. The agreement began May 1, 2011 and runs through April 30, 2014.
