Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. today announced initiation of a Phase 1 study of its therapeutic human antibody candidate, CDX-1127, in patients with selected malignant solid tumors or hematologic cancers.
A set of proteins involved in the body's natural defenses produces a large number of mutations in human DNA, according to a study led by researchers at the National Institutes of Health. The findings suggest that these naturally produced mutations are just as powerful as known cancer-causing agents in producing tumors.
While scientists have known for several years that our body's internal clock helps regulate many biological processes, researchers have found that the reverse is also true: Many common biological processes - including insulin metabolism - regulate the clock, according to a new study by investigators at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation, and the University of California at San Diego.
ShangPharma Corporation, a leading China-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology research and development outsourcing company, today announced commencement of operations on the initial phase of production at the Company's Fengxian facility. This new multi-purpose pharmaceutical development and cGMP manufacturing facility is located in Fengxian in the suburbs of Shanghai, China.
