An article published in Experimental Biology and Medicine identifies Opioid Growth Factor (OGF) as a novel biomarker for the onset and progression of multiple sclerosis (MS).
The research lab at the Center for BrainHealth led by Dr. Francesca M. Filbey, the Bert Moore Chair in BrainHealth, Professor in Cognition and Neuroscience and Associate Provost at UT Dallas, has recently secured $225,000 in funding to study motor learning deficits in cannabis users.
Researchers have found that the bacteria responsible for causing gangrene could also be used to treat patients with certain cancers.
Over 100 million women are on hormonal contraceptives. All of them contain some form of progesterone, either alone or in combination with estrogen.
