Now, researchers have uncovered what cells respond to anesthesia in an organism known as the C. elegans, according to a new study from the Seattle Children's Research Institute. C. elegans is a transparent roundworm used often in research.
Results published in the January/February, 2011 issue of International Forum of Allergy & Rhinology demonstrate that patients with chronic rhinosinusitis who receive treatment with balloon sinus dilation can experience significant improvement in work productivity.
Nurses on the bariatric surgery care team at a Connecticut hospital were having difficulty keeping track of patients' fluid intake after hospital admission.
Inspire Medical Systems, Inc. announced today that it has completed a Series E financing of $40 million. The financing round was strategically timed to coincide with the commercial launch of the Inspire Upper Airway Stimulation (UAS) therapy in the United States.
