The National Marrow Donor Program today applauded the introduction of the "Stem Cell Therapeutic and Research Reauthorization Act of 2010." Sens. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Christopher Dodd (D-CT), Richard Burr (R-NC), Jack Reed (D-RI), John Ensign (R-NV), and Al Franken (D-MN) introduced the act in the U.S. Senate as S. 3751 on Thursday, Aug. 5. Last evening, Reps. C.W. Bill Young (R-FL) and Doris Matsui (D-CA) introduced the companion legislation, (H.R. 6081), in the House.
"House Republicans sought to put their stamp on U.S. foreign policy Wednesday by advancing a bill that would slash federal payments to the United Nations and other international bodies and slap restrictions on aid to Pakistan, Egypt and others," the Washington Post reports.
GE Healthcare, a unit of General Electric Company, today announced the installation of Russia's first high-definition computed tomography (CT) scanner, GE Healthcare's flagship Discovery CT750HD, at the Center of Medical Rehabilitation by the Russian Ministry of Health in Moscow led by Professor Konstantin V.
