Five innovative cancer-fighting projects at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston received just over $11 million during the latest round of grants awarded by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas
MainStreet Monitoring Devices, Inc., an innovator of superior personal safety, telemedicine and wireless health solutions to advance the care and protection of children and seniors, today announces its marketing partnership with Special Olympics Massachusetts on the eve of the 2010 Summer Games. MainStreet MD will donate a portion of its proceeds in support of more than 2200 Special Olympics athletes expected to compete in the Summer Games scheduled June 18-20, at Harvard University.
Using fruit flies, the researchers confirmed that a technique developed at Rice - near-infrared fluorescent imaging - was capable of detecting DNA-sized nanotubes inside living fruit flies.
Saint Louis University research findings published in the December issue of Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy report a family of molecules known as nucleotidyltransferase superfamily (NTS) enzyme inhibitors are promising candidates for new herpes virus treatments.
