SeraCare Life Sciences, Inc. today announced that the Company has launched a set of new products in its diagnostic controls and panels portfolio—the SeraCare HIV-1 Seroconversion Panels. Each of the six panels consists of a set of undiluted plasma samples from a single plasma donor collected over a period of time during the development of detectable specific antibodies to HIV in the blood, or seroconversion, and is highly characterized with enhanced product information.
Poor diet is a significant contributor to chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, obesity, and diabetes accounting for early mortality. A new study published in the journal JAMA in March 2020 shows that dietary deficiency is both prevalent and pathogenic in today's young America.
"The costs of treating and coping with dengue fever in Puerto Rico total nearly $38 million a year, a new study," published Wednesday in the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, finds, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Research from The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ) on the FDA-approved drugs Celebrex and Lipitor - used respectively for arthritis pain and lowering cholesterol - shows that these drugs are well tolerated in the treatment of recurrent prostate cancer.
A molecule thought to limit cell proliferation also helps cancer cells survive during initial tumor formation and when the wayward cells spread to other organs in the body, researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine have found.
