A study in the September/October issue of the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior evaluates how consumers are interpreting certain carbohydrate-related content claims and the effects of claims on consumer perceptions of food products. Findings from this study reveal that consumers misinterpret low carbohydrate claims to have health benefits and weight loss qualities beyond their nutrition facts.
RoundTable Healthcare Partners, an operating-oriented private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, announced today that it has completed the sale of Bioniche Pharma Holdings Limited to Mylan Inc., a leading, global generic and specialty pharmaceutical company, for $550 million in cash.

High school football and wrestling athletes experienced the highest rate of severe injuries, according to the first study to examine severe injuries - injuries that caused high school athletes to miss more than 21 days of sport participation among a nationally representative sample of high school athletes. Severe injuries accounted for 15 percent of all high school sport-related injuries.
