Prof. Kobi Rosenblum, Head of the Department of Neurobiology and Ethology at the University of Haifa, has been awarded a -1.6 million grant from DIP, a German-Israeli Project Cooperation, over a five-year period. So Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, part of Loyola University Health System, is adding an extra measure of patient safety and care by offering increased communication with inpatient pharmacists.
According to a new study carried out at the University of Eastern Finland, the distribution of drug molecules within the brain can be improved by utilizing LAT1, which is expressed highly in the brain.
"The rates of two common hospital-acquired infections in Pennsylvania hospitals were lower than rates at hospitals elsewhere in the United States, according to the first report on infections issued Tuesday by the state Department of Health."
