Hospitalizations for infective endocarditis, a heart valve infection often attributed to injection drug use, have increased significantly among young adult Americans-particularly in whites and females-according to a new study by researchers from Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine.
Significant advances have taken place in the management of patients with advanced and metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer over the last 5 years. Traditionally, all advanced NSCLC patients were treated in a similar manner.
CEVEC Pharmaceuticals, the developer of a novel human expression system derived from amniocytes, and Aragen Bioscience, Inc., a California based contract research and development organization, announced today the signing of a strategic license agreement. This license enables Aragen Bioscience to offer its clients custom recombinant human cell lines expressing biotherapeutic proteins and antibodies as well as the transient and stable production of preclinical and clinical grade material.
