Wound Management Technologies, Inc. announced today that the recent increase in sales activities throughout the United States has resulted in 45 new clinicians evaluating their advanced wound care collagen product, CellerateRx® . In the last two months, these evaluations have transpired into new customers in Arizona, New Mexico, South Carolina, North Dakota, New Jersey, Wyoming, Colorado, and New York.
The venom from marine cone snails, used to immobilize prey, contains numerous peptides called conotoxins, some of which can act as painkillers in mammals. A recent study in The Journal of General Physiology provides new insight into the mechanisms by which one conotoxin, Vc1.1, inhibits pain.
In its latest recommendations, the US Multi-Society Task Force on Colorectal Cancer Screening confirms that people at average risk should be screened beginning at age 50, and recommends colonoscopy and fecal immunochemical testing as the "first tier" screening tests for this group.
Researchers at the University of Louisville have detailed a critical connection associated with a major environmental cause of silicosis and a form of lung cancer. Their study is reported in today's Nature Communications.
