Spiegel, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean of Einstein, and eight stem cell researchers discussed advances in medical therapies and treatments that Einstein scientists have been investigating since receiving more than $14 million in State funding for stem cell research.
For many Americans, the warmer weather of summer means more time spent outside: More gardening and yard work, more hikes in the woods, more backyard barbecues. But for this year in particular, some experts predict warmer weather will lead to more ticks.
Of high-risk therapeutic devices approved via the Food and Drug Administration Premarket Approval (PMA) pathway between 2010 and 2011, there has been wide variation in both the number and quality of premarket and postmarket studies, with approximately 13 percent of initiated postmarket studies completed between 3 and 5 years after FDA approval, according to a study in the August 11 issue of JAMA.
