Reflecting the changing economic landscape, more older workers are staying in the work force, but increasingly in part-time rather than full-time jobs, according to new research released today by the nonpartisan Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI).
Noting U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called for an AIDS-free generation last November in a speech at the National Institutes of Health, GlobalPost's "Global Pulse" blog reports on a discussion held Saturday at the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS), during which "several AIDS experts and U.S. officials gave their views on what it meant to reach an AIDS-free generation - and when it would happen."
Clear One Health Plans, Inc. and PacificSource Health Plans announced today they have signed a definitive merger agreement under which PacificSource will acquire Clear One.
Today, Steward Health Care System announced that its new advertising campaign, "Believe", will launch with a 30 second regional commercial during Super Bowl XLV on February 6, 2011. In addition to the Super Bowl, the advertising campaign, created by Waltham-based Boathouse Group, will air on prime time network television, online and in regional print publications throughout the month of February and into March.
Democrats have already proposed a 3-1 formula that would allow for $3 in spending cuts for every $1 in new revenue. So we have met our Republican colleagues more than half-way in this painful process. We are even willing to discuss significant savings in Medicare and Medicaid — as long as essential benefits for seniors and the most vulnerable are preserved (Rep. William Lacy Clay, 7/7).
