But now, a new study from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania corroborates early evidence showing that cigarette smoking leads to longer healing times and an increased rate of post-operative complication and infection for patients sustaining fractures or traumatic injuries to their bone.
Synergetics USA, Inc., announced today the signing of a pair of agreements with Alcon Laboratories, Inc. granting Alcon a license to sell certain products manufactured by Synergetics for worldwide distribution on a co-exclusive basis throughout the extensive Alcon network and covering the terms of supply of such products to Alcon by Synergetics.
Millions of families in the United States struggle to provide nutritionally adequate meals due to insufficient money or other resources. To combat food security issues, over one in seven Americans currently rely upon the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the largest federal nutrition program, to provide monetary support for nutrition.
