Forest Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:FRX) today announced the publication of data from its pivotal Phase III Study of an Investigational Fixed-Dose Combination (FDC) of nebivolol and valsartan in the May 30, 2014 issue of The Lancet.
Just as hurricanes in the Gulf states and Guatemala have raised the risks of cholera outbreaks, researchers at Harvard Medical School have identified a new type of antibiotic against the cholera bacteria.
Treatment with three relatively new "targeted" cancer drugs has been linked to a slightly elevated chance of fatal side effects, according to a new analysis led by scientists at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. They added that the risk remains low, but should be taken into account by physicians and patients.
The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas has issued a decision in the patent litigation between Kinetic Concepts, Inc. Wake Forest University and Smith & Nephew, Inc. The Court held that the patent claims licensed by KCI from Wake Forest University and asserted in this litigation are invalid.
